Kuopion Saana combines a Finnish sauna experience, excellent restaurant services and a multitude of events and activities in one location. These services together with the exceptional architecture and unique location right by Lake Kallavesi make Saana one of the most fascinating places to visit in the Lakeland area.

Saana can easily be reached even by bike, or you can take a boat trip there. In the summer, you can enjoy sunbathing and grilling on our huge terrace and cool yourself down by swimming in our outdoor pool or in the lake. You can relax in our spa that has a 30-seater mixed-gender sauna, an indoor hot tub, an experience shower and heated loungers.

The spa’s outdoor area has a smoke sauna and two heated pools. After a 2-hour sauna experience it is time to taste great dishes in the Saana restaurant. The tasty food is prepared out of high-quality ingredients, always provided by local producers when possible. Beside the local food, Saana offers a wide range of local drinks. The RPS Brewery and the Lignell & Piispanen distillery are situated less than 1 km from Saana.

  • What’s included? Use of towels. Entrance to Kuopion Saana Sauna and Spa: two mixed saunas (smoke sauna and electric sauna), two outdoor pools, jacuzzi, experience shower, heated loungers. Note: All of our saunas are mixed-gender saunas which means that you must wear  a swimsuit or swim trunks outside the changing rooms.
  • For extra fee: We have a separate sauna also with a small private lounge and terrace which can be used exclusively for ladies or gentlemen (this sauna is called VIP-Saana, and more information about it is available on our website. The maximum capacity is 15 people, and the price is €350/15 people for three hours.

  • RESTAURANT:

    Lunch: Three-course lunch, €10.50/person, €7/ child under 10 years (incl. VAT): Salad buffet, bread and soup from the buffet trolley, main course is served to table (always two options), water, coffee, tea, small dessert (buffet trolley).

    Dinner menu:

  • €33/person (incl. VAT): Starter: Vegetable soup out of local vegetables, Main course: Fish of the day or beef with Saana´s special sauce and grilled seasonal vegetables, with a side dish of noodles or potatoes, Dessert: Fresh local berries with caramel sauce

  • €17 for children under 10 years (incl. VAT): Starter: Vegetable soup out of local vegetables, Main course: Kids’ burger with fries, Dessert: Ice cream with sauce.

    How to get there: Distance to Kuopio city centre about 3 km (5 minutes by car or bus), in the summertime a boat connection from Kuopio harbour.
